What Am I Feeling, and What Does it Mean?
INTRODUCTION TO THE KIT
Welcome to WHAT AM I FEELING AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN: A Kit For
Self-Growth And Healthy Relationships. By choosing to use the, tools in this kit, you have made a powerful decision to take charge of
your feelings, your self-growth, and your relationships. As you work this program, you will transform your life.
Before I teach you what feelings are, why they matter, and how to use them to transform your life in this Guidebook,
I’d like to tell you about the other components of this kit (the refrigerator magnets, Affirmation, and Feelings
Vocabulary cards, the Journal, and the CD), and how to use them. In this guidebook, I will tell you lots more about
all the components, but I want you to know how all the parts fit together before you start the program.
· There are 300 refrigerator magnets for you to put on your refrigerator. Each of 298 of them contains one
feeling word. I will be teaching you how to use these magnets to name, and honor your feelings. There is also a
blank magnet for you to add your own feeling word. And, there is a communication, tool magnet that you will learn
how to use to express your feelings and needs in relationships.
· There are 28 beautifully illustrated cards in this kit. Six of them are feelings vocabulary cards which
you will be using to name and honor your feelings. There is also one blank feelings card so you can add your own
feeling words. There are 20 fabulous affirmation cards which you will read regularly, as you work this program.
And finally, there is a Communication, tool card, which you will learn how to use to improve your relationships.
· There is a wonderful journal book you will be using for personal reflection and for some feelings identification
exercises. Your journal will be your friend, mirror, mentor, and guide as you work this program. You will learn
how to use it in this guidebook.
· On the enclosed CD you will hear me talking to you about feelings, what they are, why they matter, and
how to use them in self-growth and healthy relationships. You will also find two support tracks—an affirmation
track and a guided imagery track. These are meant to nurture your inner healer and empower you as you work this
program.
And, of course, the guidebook you hold in your hands is the fifth part of this kit. It teaches you what feelings
are, why they are important, how to honor your feelings, and why you need to do that for self-growth. This guidebook
also teaches you about healthy relationships, how to use your feelings to get the love you want, and how to use
nine additional communication skills to transform your life. I suggest you read the entire booklet first to get
an overview of the program. Then go back and work with each of the, tools and exercises to identify what you are
feeling and what it means. In this kit, you have a powerful program for self-growth and healthy relationships.
It can help you get to a wonderful place. I encourage you to work it slowly and consistently over time. If you
do, you will be amazed at what you are able to accomplish.
